SILVERHILL CHRISTIAN ACADEMY...Our Purpose

Our purpose is to provide quality education in a Christian environment with emphasis on building strong moral character in harmony with the Bible. It is important that our young people not only have a good education, but imbedded in that education, there is a firm foundation established in areas of respect for authority, respect for one another, and respect for God.

THE BEST FOR YOUR CHILDREN... Parents Role in Education

We believe that God has given parents the responsibility for educating children. In doing so, as parents, sending your children to school, you are entrusting a portion of the authority to their educators. We take this role very seriously, realizing that it is essential for the home, church, and school to contribute to the educational, spiritual, and physical growth of each child. Therefore, we encourage and expect parental involvement. We trust that parents will cooperate with us by praying, overseeing homework needs, and upholding disciplinary procedures.

EXCELLENCE... Faculty and Curriculum

Our school strives to employ state-certified teachers and/or persons with degrees in similar fields that imitate Jesus Christ to their students. Our educators will be committed to achieving high academic standards and be sensitive to the needs of each student. SCA will use the A Beka, Saxon, and ACSI curriculum. In addition, supplemental teachers will use supplemental materials. Most materials are written from a distinctively Christian point of view, and presented from a Christian perspective. However, material that is not specifically written from a Christian perspective will be presented from a Christian perspective. Bible study will be taught on a regular basis. Students are required to attend and grades will be given quarterly.
